Privacy Policy

Magic Cubes · last updated: October 14, 2026

Magic Cubes (the “App”) is a puzzle game for iPhone and iPad published by Eugene Kugut (“I”, “me”), based at 1 Medovaya Street, Prokhladny, Sverdlovskaya 624055, Russia. I am responsible for the processing described in this policy and act as a controller where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies. Contact: [email protected].

The App is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. This policy explains data processing; accepting that agreement or the App’s supplemental Terms & Conditions does not replace any separate consent required by privacy law or iOS tracking permissions.

1. What I do and do not collect

The App does not require a separate Magic Cubes account and has no contact form. Your game progress and settings are stored on your device. If you use Apple Game Center, Apple handles sign-in and stores the achievements and leaderboard scores submitted by the App. I do not ask for your contacts, photos or precise location.

I do not operate a separate server for game accounts or progress. The App does use third-party services (listed below) that process technical data about your device and how you use the App. I use their analytics reports to understand usage. Device and installation identifiers may be personal data even when they do not reveal your name.

2. Data processed, purposes and legal basis

The GDPR legal bases below apply where the GDPR or UK GDPR governs the processing. Other applicable privacy laws may impose additional requirements.

ServiceDataPurposeLegal basis
Firebase Analytics (Google) App events (for example: onboarding steps, cubes completed, paywall views, purchase steps, ad interactions), purchase product and transaction identifiers, purchase value and currency, trial and subscription status, app-instance ID and vendor ID, device model, OS version, language, App Store country, approximate location derived from IP address, and whether you have Premium. Understanding how the App is used, fixing problems, improving the game. Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Firebase Remote Config (Google) Firebase installation ID and technical information associated with configuration requests, such as IP address and app version. Delivering configuration, such as turning ad formats on or off. Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Yandex Mobile Ads (including Yandex AppMetrica, which is part of its SDK) and advertising partners it works with (mediation: AppLovin, InMobi, Mintegral, Unity Ads, Vungle) IP address, device and OS information, device and installation identifiers, crash and diagnostic data, ad interactions, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt. Showing and measuring ads, fraud prevention, app stability. Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Apple (App Store, StoreKit, Game Center) Apple handles payment and provides the App with purchase records, including product and transaction identifiers and entitlement status. Purchase value and currency are also available to the App. I do not receive your card number or other payment credentials. When you use Game Center, the App submits achievements and completion times and retrieves your achievements through Apple’s service. Processing purchases, leaderboards and achievements. Performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); Apple acts as an independent controller.

Premium removes ads. It does not by itself disable analytics or erase data already processed by service providers.

If you email me, I receive your email address and the information you choose to include. I use these to answer your request and provide support (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or fulfill applicable legal obligations, including handling privacy requests (Art. 6(1)(c)). Email is processed through Google’s Gmail service. Please do not send payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.

3. Consent and how to withdraw it

The App uses Google’s consent form for regional privacy choices, including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Where available, you can reopen the form in Settings → Privacy options. Where processing relies on consent, you may refuse or withdraw it without losing features you have purchased. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

In the current version, changing your privacy choices may not stop all analytics or advertising processing, including after restarting the App. Contact me if you need help withdrawing consent or requesting deletion. This limitation does not restrict your legal rights.

Permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, including access to the advertising identifier, is separately controlled by iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining tracking does not by itself disable all analytics or delete previously collected data. Privacy forms and available choices may differ by region; applicable privacy rights still apply whether or not a form is shown.

4. Recipients and international transfers

The services described above receive data for the purposes explained in this policy. Depending on the service and processing activity, providers process data on my behalf or for purposes for which they are independently responsible. Their policies describe their processing and privacy choices:

I am based in Russia, and the providers above operate internationally. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, India, China and Russia. These countries may have different data protection rules and means of enforcing your rights. The linked provider policies contain information about their processing locations and international transfers. You may contact me for information about the recipients, locations and safeguards applicable to your data.

Accepting this policy or permitting advertising does not by itself constitute explicit consent to an international transfer under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. A transfer subject to legal restrictions requires an applicable transfer mechanism and any required safeguards or separate informed consent.

5. Retention

Firebase Analytics event-level data is subject to the retention setting for the App’s Analytics property. Aggregated reports may be retained separately. Firebase Remote Config retains installation IDs until deletion is requested; Google states that removal from live and backup systems can take up to 180 days after that request. Advertising providers apply the retention periods and criteria described in their policies linked above, including those for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and legal obligations.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as needed to resolve the request, handle related disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. To request deletion of correspondence or data associated with your use of the App, contact me. Removing the App does not automatically erase records held by Apple or other providers.

6. Your rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to processing, receive data in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, including Roskomnadzor in Russia, your relevant EEA authority or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Write to [email protected] to exercise your rights. No Magic Cubes account is required. If I need limited additional information to identify the relevant records or verify a request, I will explain what is needed and why. I will respond within the period required by applicable law; under the GDPR this is normally one month, subject to lawful extensions with notice. Requests about Apple’s independent processing can also be made through Apple’s Data and Privacy portal.

7. Security

Data is sent to the services above over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13. An App Store content age rating does not establish the age at which a child can give valid privacy consent. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children where the required parental consent is absent. Where consent is required for an online service offered directly to a child, the applicable minimum age and parental-consent requirements depend on the country. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child’s data has been processed without required consent, contact me so I can investigate, take the action required by law and coordinate with the relevant providers.

9. US state privacy rights

If an applicable US state privacy law covers this processing, you may have rights to know what personal data is collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. I do not sell personal data for money. Disclosures to advertising partners may nevertheless qualify as sale or sharing under applicable law.

You may send a privacy or opt-out request to [email protected] and use the App’s regional privacy options where available. You do not need to buy Premium to exercise a statutory privacy right. The iOS tracking setting is an additional control and is not a substitute for every right under state privacy law. I will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Changes

I may update this policy. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where applicable law requires notice or renewed consent for a change in processing, those requirements apply; merely posting a revised policy or your continued use of the App does not replace required consent.
